Major Projects Undertaken

Ultrasonic Movement Detector: This hardware project could detect any moving object in the range of three metres and gives sound output. It was submitted as the final project for the vocational subject of Electronics. This project was done during the second year of junior college.

Olympics Database: This project was designed to maintain all the Olympics record held by athletes in various events in addition to other details. It was done in Oracle 8i as a back end. The project was done during the fourth semester in the second year of engineering.

Parallel Port Monitor: This project was meant to display the logic levels at the parallel port pins. It was also capable of changing the logic levels for the data pins. This project was done in java. It was done during the fifth semester in the third year of engineering.

Car Insurance Database: This database project was undertaken to provide useful data to the insurance company of the cars it has insured. This project was done in SQL. It was done during the sixth semester in the third year of engineering.

Multi Utility Sensor Network: This project is the final year project. It involves hardware and software co-design. The project uses RS485 network to communicate between the micro-controllers and the computer. Various sensors are connected to the micro-controllers to enable gathering of different parameters. Real Time OS concepts are used in programming the AVR micro-controllers. Host software is also designed to enable programming the micro-controllers directly from computer, to gather information from the micro-controllers and for easy debugging.
